Core Values

A Strong Foundation

These values have resonated with my personal and professional journey. As a leader, a community member and citizen, I have built meaningful relationships, effected positive change, and lead with authenticity and purpose.

As an elected member of the Provincial Metis Council, I have advocated for the region while being a part of legislative reform, policy development and supported the journey to self government.

In the past years  as the ERIII regional representative, I have successfully proven that trusted leadership is integral to making progress as a region based on honesty and a shared vision.

Active Participation

As a commitment to community, I am actively participating in cultural  life by facilitating, planning and supporting local and regional events and cultural resurgence.

Being visible, present and available to citizens, we foster inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and connected.

Culture & Language Preservation

As regional representative and community leader, I honour and celebrate our Metis culture, language and identity.

Collectively we have provided opportunities to pass along cultural knowledge and heritage to our future generations to maintain a strong sense of identity and continuity.

I actively participate in cultural events such as festivals and traditional gatherings, important milestones and holidays keeping the spirit and significance of these occasions alive.

Continuous Learning

As regional representative,  I support intergenerational knowledge sharing and language revitalization under the guidance of our Old Ones and Knowledge Keepers and facilitating opportunities for Elders to share their knowledge and stories with younger generations.

Equality & Social Justice

I will advocate for fairness, equity, and justice for Metis citizens by working  to dismantle systemic barriers and create opportunities that empower everyone equally.

I will continue to foster a culture of respect by treating others with kindness, empathy, and consideration, recognizing the inherent dignity of every person.

Participation in Economic Prosperity

Eastern Region III (ERIII) is poised and prepared to actively participate in driving economic growth, fostering entrepreneurship, and ensuring sustainability within our community. We recognize the vital role these elements play in enhancing the quality of life for our citizens and securing a prosperous future for our region.

ERIII’s readiness to embrace these opportunities is driven by a collective vision and a commitment to community collaboration. As regional representative I am able to lead initiatives that not only advance our region but also exemplify the values and aspirations of Métis Nation Saskatchewan. Together, we will create a vibrant, sustainable economy that honours our heritage and embraces the future.

Community Health & Wellbeing

I will ensure access to quality health care services for all community members by supporting a culturally responsive framework for Metis citizens accessing provincial healthcare services including mental  health and  substance use disorder supports. I will continue to support healthy lifestyles and wellness initiatives.
